Truck Rims

Truck rims come in many styles, including custom wheels. You can get a wheel package that includes chrome wheels and chrome rims that will make your ride look sweet. Car rims also serve functional purposes, so you always want to make sure you get your auto rims from a reputable source to keep your driving safe.

A very important aspect of auto rims and truck rims is maintenance. It is a good idea to keep your chrome wheels clean and waxed. Doing this by hand will provide the best results. It is also very important to use the proper products for maintenance, and this should be part of the wheel package you purchase when you first get your truck rims. Be sure the cleaner does not contain any acid. Acid can damage both the Clearcoat on your car rims, as well as the substrate material. Although you can get your custom wheels refurbished and repaired, it can be costly and keeping them maintained is more cost effective than damaging them and having to have them repaired.

Chrome rims and wheels get an extra coating to protect them when you wax periodically. Ask when you by your wheel package, what the recommended schedule is. Proper waxing technique can help reduce residue build up as well as repel scrapes, dents and gouges from stray rocks that get kicked up when you drive. You also want to use what’s called a “touchless” car wash to keep truck rims protected if you don’t always wash your vehicle by hand.
